Normandy High School

Class of 1974 Reunion

Updated on May 3, 2009

The Normandy High School Class of 1974 was without a doubt the greatest class in the history of graduating classes across America.

With more than 740 graduates, we have left our mark, not just on Normandy High School, not just on the community of Parma, Ohio, but on the world!

We're long overdue to get together again to catch up and reminisce.

35th Class Reunion Officially Set for Saturday, October 10, 2009

The Normandy Class of 1974 35th Reunion, billed as "The Party of the Century," is officially scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2009.  The Committee set that date for the event because it's Columbus Day weekend, which might help some of you who are traveling home.

Details surrounding the reunion are quickly coming together.

Cost and Payment Information Announced

The Reunion Committee has finalized cost details from which we have determined pricing for the event.  Thanks to so many classmates who completed the survey. Your responses guided us to our final decisions.

Because we need funds in order to honor financial commitments for the event, we are offering an early payment discount.  If you are able to make your payment by July 15th, it will save you money and help us manage the expenses related to the reunion.  For complete details on cost, click here or go to the Payment tab.

Location Selected

After much research, we have booked the Middleburgh Heights Community Center for the event.  It's affordable, can accommodate a big crowd (which we expect), and it's close to the airport for the many classmates who live out of town.  The address is 16000 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights, OH  44130 (click on address for link to MapQuest).

In the coming weeks we will select a caterer for food stations, music (hopefully a live band), and arrange for a well stocked bar.

Santo's Selected to Cater Event

Santo's Restaurant in Middleburg Heights has been selected as the caterer for the reunion. Santo's was selected after a thorough search by members of the committee.  The food is both delicious and affordable.  Santo's, located in Middleburg Heights, is owned by former classmate Ray Santosuosso and his family.

Block of Hotel Rooms Available Nearby

We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Residence Inn by Marriott Cleveland Airport, which is about 1 mile from the Community Center.  We've negotiated preferred rates.  The hotel will also provide free shuttle service to and from the airport, and will transport guests to and from the reunion for a nominal charge (this is a no DUI zone).

Click here or on the Residence Inn logo to make hotel reservations at preferred rates.

Dress for the Event

Casual, casual, casual!  This is not one of those stuffy "wedding reception style events.  Wear whatever makes you happy!

Help Us Find More Classmates

We still need your help!  Hunt down your old friends from high school and tell them about our plans.  Ask them to send an email to normandy_1974@yahoo.com or to log on to this website.  So far we have tracked down nearly 200 classmates, but we have a long way to go.  Spread the word!
